Executive Director Tracee Capron & the HIA Health Director Team
With offices in North Dakota and Minnesota, HIA Health brings together HIA Hospice (formerly Hospice of the Red River Valley), HIA Heather’s House, HIA House Calls, and HIA Heirlooms to provide compassionate, community-centered care throughout life’s journey. Offering in-home primary and palliative care, as well as specialized hospice services and grief support, HIA Health meets patients and families where they are—providing comfort, dignity, and peace when it matters most.
The newest addition, HIA Heather’s House, provides expert inpatient hospice care in a peaceful, homelike setting. Founded in 1981, this independent nonprofit serves over 450 hospice patients and their loved ones daily, along with more than 600 primary and palliative care patients in the comfort of their homes. The HIA Health team, supported by over 400 volunteers, travels nearly two million miles annually to ensure care reaches both urban and rural communities across the region.
The letters HIA stand for ‘Hearts In Action’, reflecting a dedication to being there when every moment matters. Whether through bedside care, same-day support, or community education, HIA Health continues to honor life with presence, purpose, and compassion. When care is needed, HIA is there – reliably and consistently.
