702 Communications is a locally owned and operated Internet Service Provider and Competitive Local Exchange Provider headquartered in Moorhead, MN. 702 provides fiber-optic Internet access, managed IT services, data center, and voice service to both business customers and apartment complexes in the Fargo/ Moorhead area. 702 also provides wholesale services that include network management and monitoring, ethernet transport, and Internet access. CEO Brian Crommett joined 702 Communications 21 years ago as temp worker. His dedication and hard work led him up the ranks over the years and in 2019, Crommett became CEO.
Crommett’s initial mindset as CEO was continuing 702’s growth. However, when COVID-19 flipped everyone’s lives upsidedown, the focus shifted to taking care of his employees and the Fargo-Moorhead community. 702 worked with their business customers to scale bandwidth needs up or down and partnered with schools to provide access to those who needed the Internet to accommodate remote learning. “We had the experience and technology in place to be able to make that transition to remote work virtually seamless,” says Crommett. “I’ve got a great team, empowered to make the best decisions and to provide the best service–even without my direction.” 702 Communications looks forward to continuing its fiber-optic reach and expanding service offerings for its customers.
