The EFP Team For neighbors facing hunger, the Emergency Food Pantry is often the bridge between a sudden challenge and the chance to keep moving forward. Serving Cass and Clay counties, EFP provides a week’s worth of healthy food to households experiencing an emergent need, while also connecting families with additional community resources. As the area’s oldest and largest food pantry, EFP served nearly 24,000 unique people in 7,990 households in 2025. Guided by the values of compassion, connection, collaboration, and community, the EFP team of 10 employees and more than 1,500 volunteers works alongside churches, businesses, and organizations to fight hunger together. EFP is able to provide more food while keeping costs low. Along with food, EFP offers dignity, relief, and support so neighbors can focus on getting back on their feet instead of worrying about their next meal.
