Grant Olson, Owner
Grant Olson grew up on a farm in Lisbon, ND where he was never far from an abundance of diesel engines, which he often modified to his liking. His interest led him to attend Minnesota State Community and Technical College for diesel technology, and before he graduated, he founded Olson Diesel Performance.
After graduation, Olson decided to advance his education by completing a certification in diesel programming in Birmingham, UK. Once he arrived home, he started growing his business.
Olson Diesel Performance is a full-service diesel performance and repair shop. They service everyone from local trucking companies, farmers, and construction operations with diagnostic software and other upgrades to increase fuel efficiency. They also provide industry-leading ECM programming to keep engines running at peak efficiency in order to achieve maximum longevity.
“We have a shop in Fargo to support local clients, but our main focus is remote-access work for over 25 truck repair shops across the USA,” Grant said. “We can provide remote services to repair shops or clients that have their own computer and internet connection. Our goal is to provide upgrades for light to heavy duty engines to improve fuel efficiency and decrease downtime.”
Olson Diesel Performance is passionate about not only improving diesel engines, but doing so in a clean and environmentally safe manner. They also donate to the NDSU agriculture and clean water programs. Olson is proud to give back to the community, which he has been a part of for over seven years.
“West Fargo has been my home since 2016. I enjoy the local food and entertainment it provides,” Grant said. “It’s a growing city, but it still has small-town elements to it.”
