Meet the Faces of Golf Courses: Wildflower Golf Course

Director of Operations, Emily Meyers & Superintendent, Reed Bohm

After nearly seven decades of owning and operating Fair Hills Resort in Detroit Lakes, the Kahldahl family expanded by opening the Wildflower Golf Course. Since 1993, the course has provided golfers of all ages with a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Wildflower is a par 72, 18-hole course that features over 7,000 yards of lush fairways, five sets of tee boxes, and a challenging, yet rewarding amount of sand and native prairie grasses. In addition to offering golfers a desirable place to play the game, they also provide golf instruction, a wonderful driving range, tournaments, and a junior golf campus.

“At our core, we are a family business that believes in tradition while looking forward toward the future. We believe in bringing people together to make memories,” Creative Director Emily Meyer, the great-great-granddaughter of founder Ed Kahldahl, said. “We put our heart and ourselves into everything we do—we want people to leave their time with us better than when they arrived.”
