Meet the Faces of Safe Shelter: Churches United

Churches United aims to provide safe shelter, stable housing, nutritious food, and a path toward healing for our neighbors experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. They are a low-barrier facility, meaning they make it as simple as possible for people to seek shelter without jumping through hoops and meeting criteria requirements to gain entry. Churches United believes that everyone is deserving of life’s most basic necessities and a helping hand along the way, and is proud to serve approximately 650 people daily. “We are incredibly lucky to be a part of communities that support our mission and the work that we do. Year after year we are blown away by the individuals who rally behind our staff to volunteer their time, attention, and effort to be there for our neighbors in need,” Katie Fredericksen, CDO, said. “Without the generous financial support from individuals and organizations, we would not be able to do what we do.”
