In 2018, Lane began working part-time at SCHEELS as a Footwear Expert, and within a short amount of time, he realized he had found his career path and patiently waited for a full-time position that he was passionate about.
“Bags and Travel is an amazing shop that lets me connect with so many amazing people,” Lane said. “I enjoy hearing about the places people go and how awesome their backpacks will look with their back-to-school outfit on their first day. My favorite is when customers are so excited about the new piece they purchased, that they come back to share pictures of the first day of school or a photo from their vacation.”
Lane loves working at SCHEELS because of the people, both customers and coworkers. “Everyone that comes into work truly enjoys what they do, which in turn makes ‘work’ something I look forward to. I have the mindset of ‘I GET to go to work’. Along with the people who work here, it’s the amazing people who come into our store and make my day unlike the one before. Each day is new and exciting.”
